— for Anish Kapoor, exclusive owner of Vantablack, the world’s blackest pigment
i have to hand it to Steuart Semple:
there is no better way to piss off an art bro
so entitled he bought an entire color
just for himself than to sell
the world’s pinkest pink, so pink
it repels light to surge brighter, for less
than a latte on one lone condition:
never let Anish Kapoor get his hands on it.
and yet, you felt the pettiness so deep
within the bowels of your Vantablack void
you decided you could easily nab just a little—
after all, how else can a viral figure say
fuck you besides a cerise-powdered
middle finger snapshot to the feed,
best paired with a convenient omission:
you couldn’t be bothered to share either.
