How many Leap Years has it been since you got your leg suits on?
your bones might tell you, if not you might have forgotten you were running when you fell asleep and dreamt of falling,
but if not then ask your brain stem directly…but let’s be honest, you don’t know, do you?
(You break the glass in case of an emergency)
Do you really think you move the oxygen through your cells? Do you believe yourself to be the chosen one? Was it written in your stars? What can you tell me, and what have you seen?
(You break the glass in case of an emergency)
And what about now? What sick story plays underneath those eyelids and how can you reconcile it with the currents that determine acts back a little further; how to depart from the feel-do into the doing itself, and ultimate undoing but how?? How to escape and how to come back how to
break glass in case of emergency wires slack that you crack open, yours warm and yours wet and sharp and frightening, drink to liquid life with me and come alive! This is it, baby! Drink the elixir of here and now to banish self-awareness like every psycho fall of man! There is nothing to ask when your electric corpse comes in so many colorful flavors at once these days, capable of farming all your grandparents…
(pause.) so it won’t be long before you find yourself licking the bottom of the bowl to feel aluminum snag some taste buds; you’re caressing shreds of soda cans for a trace of repellent mingled with somebody’s blood praying that the living nearby come inside to make their home and kill your flesh
Ooh you’re opening your organs now
and you’re turning inside out,
eliminating spare moments and the anguish that questions bring (and all their secret pleasures that do not serve you any longer)
receiving YOU’re secret name in blood or amniosis or biiiiiiile….
